The overlanding scene is heating up with excitement as fans crave more community gatherings and events. Northern Cali enthusiasts were treated to an awesome event when Rodeo x Rigs Vol. 7 landed north on August 8th at Mare Island in Vallejo, CA. Titled “Rigs On the Water Edition,” the day’s festivities brought out 1500+ spectators throughout the day.
Over 50 vendors showcased lifestyle products and more while guests checked out more than 100 rigs on display, featuring some of the best and coolest overlanding mods! Some notable mentions included rigs from the likes of @adobo4runner @trd_grey_mamba_ @fullmag_tundra @_jessierizo @kleansequoia @ghostthetundra @norcal556 @jk_na_lang @jl_jipny @islnd_wolf_tundra and more.
As with any Rodeo x Rigs event, the overall vibe was filled with excitement as the organizers Trail Wolves Offroad were humbled by Northern Cali’s support. Besides the showcased rigs and booths, the event consisted of various food trucks serving the latest tacos, boba and pastries. The raffle had great prizes, including a roof rack donated by Prinsu, two rooftop tents donated by Inspired Overland, lights by Baja Designs, Diode Dynamics, DuroBumps, bed supports by Total Chaos and more.
Although the event wasn’t as big as previous SoCal events, organizers are excited and looking forward to doing it bigger next year. Trail Wolves Offroad will be launching a 5-city West Coast Tour, with info being released soon! They also noted that NorthCal Part 2 is already in the works, and San Diego will be their next new city addition.
