Since 2018, the team at Pit + Paddock has been hosting a series of Cars + Coffee meets and pop-ups that have been successful across the nation. Their home base one takes place at Turn 14 Distribution headquarters in Horsham, PA, where their event last month brought out more than 700+ cars and trucks!
According to Samuel Du, Pit + Padlock’s Editor-In-Chief, the idea of putting together an Overland Edition Cars + Coffee was two-fold. “We started a collaboration 4Runner TRD Pro build with CSF, so we thought it would be cool to create our own event to debut the rig,” he mentions. Second, we’ve been wanting to host another Cars + Coffee event in SoCal; however, we know there are so many car meets every weekend here. But, through talking to folks in the community, there weren’t as many laidback, low-key casual events that cater specifically to this particular community. Thus, Cars + Coffee: Overland Edition was born.”
Taking place at CSF’s headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, this past weekend, the event saw the debut of their finished project build (which took six weeks to complete). To hype up the event and to bring out some of the hottest rigs, they invited the best rigs they had within their network and industry partners, including the guys at Rig.Talk, Pure 4×4, Yotamafia, Titan 7 wheels, Pacific German, Hawk Performance, Westin Automotive, K&N, CATuned Off-Road, RPM Off-Road Garage and more.
Besides all the rigs, there was a live barista coffee bar, which was a hit with fans put on by Dexterity Coffee, while DJ Erok provided the tunes, and Morning’s Car Club the breakfast burritos. The biggest highlight of the morning was the Flex Zone, which allowed the brave to put their rig up on the RTI ramp as high as possible before any other wheels left the ground. The winner was a Jeep Gladiator from All-Terrain Garage despite many heavy hitters hitting the ramp throughout the event )even a lifted Subaru Crosstrek tried their wheels at the ramp to no avail).
“Pit + Paddock strives to offer a memorable experience to everyone that attends but we also try to give several folks something to take home, so we gave away nearly 100 co-branded camping mugs and soup jars with CSF,” Samuel describes.
Stay tuned for more Pit + Padlock events in the near future!
