We got to experience KC’s Adventure Takeover on Saturday, May 22nd held at the famed Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The outdoor event was high appreciated given not being able to go to any for the past year, so when the invite dropped in our inbox, we RSVP’d in seconds!

The KC Adventure Takeover off-road event featured the coolest exhibit that showcased some awesome builds, including Jessi Combs’s Goldi Rocks beast. Rigs on display included everything from Subies to Classic 4x4s, Rock Crawlers to full-size Overland Trucks. Special appearances were made by the likes of Terry Madden and a few other KC Family Ambassadors. Besides lots of cool eye candy, the event had food, beer, and even a DJ to provide the soundtrack for the fun night. It was a great time getting out and feeling semi back to normal and here’s hoping we get to attend more fun events soon!

Nissan Navara SL vs ST-X: Which Ute Should You Buy?

Two 2026 Nissan Navaras. One engine, one chassis, one $9,000 gap. We spent two weeks with the entry-level SL and the higher-spec ST-X, and they couldn’t have felt more different. One ride left our tester reluctant to drive. Add a mystery suspension question, a 4WD quirk and a tub that won’t take an Aussie pallet, and the choice gets harder than the spec sheet suggests.
