Ford is upping the ante for its latest offering by adding a new off-roading beast to the new Ford Bronco lineup. The Bronco has been updated for modern times and has become quite popular for many, but now they’re dropping a hardcore 400-hp Bronco Raptor Off-Roader to the mix for serious adventureres looking for some off-road fun.

The new edition will drop in March 2022 and has been given an overhaul by Ford Performance (which is responsible for the F-150 Raptor). The Ultra4-Racing inspired SUV will be powered by their exclusive twin-turbo 3-liter EcoBoost engine that will deliver a whopping 400 ponies. It’ll also sport Dana 44 axles up front and a Dana 50 axle in back, Raptor HOSS 4.0 race-ready suspension and standard 37” tall all-terrain tires.

Similar to the Ultra4 desert race trucks, the Bronco will be able to conquer desert dunes at highway speeds and comes ready with competition-level off-road hardware and technology, says Carl Widmann, Ford Performance’s chief engineer.

Adding to the Bronco Raptor’s good looks, it’ll feature Ford Performance-designed 17x.5” beadlock wheels and come with intercooling and air-induction systems that can handle hotter and harsher conditions. There will be seven driver modes so that you can choose its performance depending on what you plan to do while driving it.

The exterior is more muscular than other Bronco models, with the front dressed with more menacing LED lights, a sculpted hood, more flared fenders and more.
